  Desak

Bali In A Jar is the brainchild of Desak Yoni.

Desak was born and grew up in rural Bali in the humble village of Pejengaji (just outside of Tegallaalang and approximately 8km North of the tourist area of Ubud).

Being the eldest of two girls she was raised with exposure to the unique village cooking skills that are ususally learned by both young men and women.

After completing her schooling, Desak commenced work in the hospitality and tourist industries in Bali where she quickly developed her English skills and her passion for all things cullinary.

In the mid 90's she migrated to Australia. After spending time working in a variety of jobs, Desak was able to fulfill one of her dreams and open a restaurant serving traditional Balinese food. Bali Corner, as her restaurant was known, quickly became known as a place where people could enjoy good exotic foods or relive their favourite memories of Bali.

However Desak's success with Bali Corner did not sate her ambitions. With ample positive feedback from her restaurant, she set about developing a sauce that allowed people to enjoy the tastes of Bali in their own home.

From this Bali In A Jar was born.

Since producing the first samples of Bali In A Jar for customers of Bali Corner, Desak realized that she had developed a sauce that was a cut above those offered in supermarkets and Asian grocery stores. The demand for the product has seen it necessary to design a label and put in place procedures to produce greater quantities of the Bali In A Jar sauces.

Desak personally ensures that all products live up to the standards that made Bali In A Jar such a hit.
